Flat Out on the Isle Of Man TT

Incase you didn't know I'm a bit of a motorhead, especially when it comes the two-wheeled variety. This week I had the amazing opportunity to spend the day at one of the greatest and most dangerous motorcycle races in the world - The Isle Of Man TT

Now I like going fast, and from time to time I "may or may not" exceed the speed limit. Actually I'm not going to lie, there's not much in this world that I find more exhilarating.

But the guys who take part in this race, take speed to a WHOLE new level.

This 60km long circuit runs around the Isle Of Man, would usually take you about 45 minutes to do one lap (if you are a law abiding citizen). The top-dogs participating in the TT race do it in roughly 17 minutes!

Averaging speeds of about 130mph (210km/h) every lap, these big-balled racers will often exceed speeds of up to 190mph (300km/h +).

For most of us, 300km/h is a speed that is probably a little hard to relate to. Imagine driving your car as fast as it can go down the highway...ok... now picture doing that through for 17minutes straight, down bumpy county roads and through towns riddled with unforgiving stone walls and telegraph posts. Words like...Crazy. Insane. Awesome. And RESPECT come to mind.

Below are a few of my favourite shots from my unforgettable time at the Isle Of Mann TT. Incase you still don't quite understand the speeds and how dangerous this race really is, please check out this footage from the IOMTT last year.

Enjoy!
