Last weekend we ventured down to the quiet little city of Adelaide. Despite numerous warnings about it being merely just 'the city of churches' and little else, we were absolutely blown away by the city's friendly people, amazing food and wine, and the general charm of Adelaide and its surrounding areas.
We stayed on the south side of Radelaide's CBD and found ourselves within walking distance to loads of awesome places to eat, drink and be merry, including a superb little brekkie spot called Cafe Troppo, which rivals any of our favourite breakfast haunts here in Sydney.
If you don't mind your vino, 50 minutes south of the city is a sweet little vineyard circuit called McLaren Vale, which stunning views and proximity to the ocean will knock your socks off and have you clicking away at the camera non-stop. We spent the day "tasting" loads of great drops, minus the crowds of some other S.A's other wine hotspots. There are also a couple of great little brewery's located in the Vale for those who have a penchant for a couple of cold ambers.
Below are a few shots from our weekend in the very lovely Adelaide.
Enjoy!
