Journal of Jonah

Its been 8 months since my bro Max saved Jonah from the quarry. When I saw him last weekend, I was blown away by how he's grown from a tiny fur-ball into the big bloke he is today.

Here are a few shots of Jonah in chronological order from the day he arrived home, to last weekend when he was giving me a run for my money with the soccer ball.

Enjoy.

Westward to the hills

Did a quick trip out to the folks place this weekend. We stopped on the side of the road a couple of times around the Hawkesbury (about an hour northwest of Sydney) for a few photo expression sessions.

Enjoy.

Warehouse Wonderland

Last night I found a memory card which had managed to slip down behind my cupboard. I threw it in the computer and found some photos from a foto session that Collo (another talented snapper) and I did a couple of months back.

These shots are from the abandoned Slazenger warehouse out in the suburbs of Alexandria, Sydney. The warehouse is a haven for many people including;  those handy with a can of paint, dodgy folk looking for an off-the-map rendezvous point and the homeless people looking for a place to crash for the night.

Needless to say, Collo and I were like kids in a candy shop. Photo opp after photo opp!

To check out Collo's cracking shots check out his blog http://collo-c4.blogspot.com.au/2012/01/derelict-adventures.html

Enjoy.

Pinterest - King Pins

Ok, so this is pure and shameless self-promotion but hey, I'm in PR so I think I can be excused just this once.

Here's an interview I did with Marie Claire which has just hit the shelves, which is all about Pinterest and what all the fuss is about.

If you haven't checked out Pinterest yet, check out my page http://pinterest.com/lukedeanweymark/

Autumn Awesomeness

Spent the weekend with Nat at my parents place, located in Kurrajong Heights, a speck on the map situated in the Blue Mountains.

Living in Bondi you never really witness the season of Autumn, but drive an hour into the mountains (especially to my folks place), and you can witness natures deciduous technicolor display in all its glory.

Here are a couple of shots in mums beautiful Autumned-up garden.

Enjoy.

Last weekend kicked off Sydney's annual Vivid light festival. Between the 25th - 11th June Sydney is transformed into a light, music and design extravaganza!

Here are a few shot from around Sydney Vivid Festival 2012.

Enjoy.

Bondi Beach Bowl-A-Rama

A while back, Bondi Beach held its annual Bowl-A-Rama competition. For those who don't know. Its a skate competition held in one gnarly looking empty swimming pool. Crazy Cats!

The last time I skated in a bowl was in France and managed to bust my ankle within minutes of attempting to roll around inside the bloody thing... Apparently, the older you get the worse you bounce!

The next few shots are from one glorious afternoon down at the bowl where some of the competitors where getting some pre-comp practice under this belts.

They put on a show to say the least.

Enjoy.
