A Sausage Named Lola

Most of you who know Nat, know of her mild obsession with dachshunds, especially if they're of the mini variety.

So Nat recently subscribed to a website called Find A Dog Minder, and got the call last week to see if we were available to mind a small lady snag called Lola for the weekend.

Needless to say, Nat and Lola got along like a match made in heaven. But I feel like the photos will probably speak for themselves.

The Bevel Drives Got The Desmodromic Blues

I love music, especially the blues and rock n' roll. This has been ingrained in my DNA by my dad, who sings and plays the harmonica in a band called The Bevels Drives. I rocked out with The Bevel Drives in Orange on Saturday night and these photos are the evidence of the good times had. Strangely enough - my memories of the night are failing me...always a sign of a cracking gig consisting of all the best debauchery of any good rock n' roll band.

The Summer That Was...

A few months back, I was approached by the wonderful people at Sony to test their latest camera. The Sony Action Cam. Its one of those tiny little camera, which is water proof and shock proof etc. 

After playing with it all summer, I decided it was time to try and cut something together which represented the awesome Summer which we had this year.

Stand Up Paddle Boarding, Surfing, Snorkling and playing on the rocks at Mackenzie's Bay in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs. Fun times indeed.

Ballina Byron Gateway

A few weeks back, Nat & I headed North to catch up with some old friends. We love it more and more every time we visit the area. After-all  why wouldn't you? The beautiful countryside and the uber-chilled lifestyle is pretty hard to beat.

Behind The Lens Lukey Online Photography Store

Sculpture By The Sea :: Part One

Living at Tamarama has many perks. Firstly, I get to enjoy the coastal and the city lifestyle. Secondly, I can surf on a daily basis. And thirdly, Tamarama is the host of the annual Sculpture By The Sea art exhibition.

Everytime I go for a run, surf or just wander down to the beach, I get to walk past these amazing pieces of art just sitting there on the coastal headland between Bondi and Tamarama. Seriously, how good is that!?!

There are over 100 different pieces of art featured at Sculpture By The Sea, and I'm yet to photograph them all. But here are a few of my fave's so far.

If you haven't already had a chance to check it out, you've got until Sunday 4th November. Hot tip: I'd advise going before and after work, because on the weekends the trail gets some serious pavement traffic.

Chaos at the Sydney Seafood Markets

I've never been a big fan of the ultra-touristy locations. Especially in the city which I grew up in. However when Nat threw it out there, that we should head down to the Sydney Fish Markets for some fresh sashimi for lunch, she had me hook, line and sinker!

The place (as you can imagine) was pure chaos, with tourists, sydneysiders, fishermen and fishy merchants crammed in together like a mosh pit at Big Day Out. There were even seagulls swooping down, mid air and snatching chips off peoples plates while they were trying to find a seat...

Nevertheless it was a great experience, and an even greater people watching expedition. If you like your seafood and don't mind a crowd, you'll love this place.
