Last Days Of London

I've had mixed emotions about these last few weeks. Part of me has has wanted time to slow down, as there is still lots which I feel like I haven't done. The other part has wanted time to speed on by so I can get cracking on the exciting European Summer trip which Nat and I have been planning for the last 6 months. The surf, sun, beaches, parties and Ducati tours are calling!

I will miss London though. These last few days I've realised that more than ever. We've made some amazing friends and experienced most of the history and culture which London has to offer. These are this things which I'll miss most when we arrive home.

Here are a few photo's of our last few days of London.

Thank you for having us London, you've been a great host!

Enjoy.

London Canals - Where's your local?

Since landing in London all those months ago, I've spent plenty of time getting acquainted with London's canal culture.

Home to all walks of life; your local canal can also double as your home, running track, waterhole (of the alcoholic kind) and even your favourite fishing spot! Not that I've tested the latter...but believe me, plenty have!

Here are some shots from along my local and also a few from one of London's more famous canals - Little Venice.

Enjoy

Hibernation is OVER!!

Spring is a busy time in London.

For most city dwellers, it's because the weather is finally suitable for people to ditch the layers and leave the caves that they've been hibernating in for the last seven months.

In the Spring everyone comes out to enjoy some good old vitamin-D action. When I say everyone I mean exactly that. Birds, bees, flowers, squirrels, tourists, gypsies, street performers and even the locals!

And lets face it, who wouldn't want to be out and about? This is the time of year when London is in its absolute prime. All it needs is a nice warm sandy beach break within walking distance and I'd probably never want to leave.

The next few shots are from around the traps in the lovely city of London, highlighting the locals enjoying the warm weather.

Enjoy.

Crouching Rabbit Hidden Dragon

Bright lights, crazy crowds, smoking woks and dancin' dragons, it all says Chinese New Year! This year celebrates the Year of the rascally Rabbit, and at China Town in Leicester Square, London - celebrating was exactly what they did last weekend.

Here are a few shot from within the chaos!

Enjoy.

Little Bits Of London

Every time I plan a weekend of shooting, the inevitable happens...London rains on my parade...Literally!

With this being the case, I've resorted to digging deep into the vaults of my photo collections...just for a little photo fix.

Below are a few bits and pieces from here and there in London.

Damn you London and you're grey skies and sunless days...but damn...you're also one cool city.

Enjoy.

The Sound Of Music

Whether you're the next big thing on the music scene, a groupie or just a regular punter that loves listening to quality live music, then London is where it's at.

Live gigs, open mic nights, buskers and weirdos on trains - London really is the Sound Of Music.

The next few shots are from of a couple of gigs that I went to in support a friend of mine, Tristan Grassick, a young up-and-coming song writer and gun guitarist.

Enjoy.

Winter Wonderland Wanderings

Adventures to dark locations lit by a swirl of brightly coloured lights are any budding photographers ideal playground!

This week we braved the cold yet again to check out London's famous Winter Wonderland. This Santa-inspired events runs throughout December and is hosted by the iconic Hyde Park. Consisting of everything Christmas - this could make even The Grinch himself jolly.

Enjoy.
