Running Of (From) The Bulls - Pamplona

Well it was madness to say the least. 650kg bulls hurtling their way down the narrow cobblestone streets of Pamplona. What makes it even more nuts is that they're just trying to get away (and probably scared shitless) from the hoards of local men and drunken tourists who attempt to run along with these sacred Spanish beasts at the San Fermin Running Of The Bulls in Pamplona every year.

Unfortunately there aren't a great deal of action packed shots in this post of people being gouged or trampled during the run. Thats because I was one of the crazy tourists (stone sober I might add) part-taking in this years event, and I was told that it was probably a good idea if I left the camera at home whilst running. In hindsight, that was a very good call! Once you see the bulls running full steam ahead and the revellers doing everything they can to not get trampled, there is only thing going through your mind. Run. Thats it. Sorry, no room for tourist snaps!

Fortunately, I had my number one travel buddy (A.K.A Nat Thom) in the stadium to get a couple of snaps of the younger, more friskier bulls going to town on a few of the dickhead Australian's who thought it was a good idea to try and pull them by the tail. Thankfully the majority of these people were dished out some swift justice, Spanish style!

These next few shots are taken from in and amongst the madness of The Running Of The Bulls in Pamplona, Spain.

Enjoy.
